Thanks

I used the sketch for today's challenge at SCS.

The digital image is from Beccy's Place, and colored with chalk pencils.  I used the Sizzix framelits die for the "Thanks" and the Spellbinders Curved dies for the border.

This card will be entered into the following challenges:

Beccy's Place - Use her image

3D Box Card

My second attempt at making a 3D box card.  The base measures at 5 3/4" X 6", no scoring.  The top was cut at 5 3/4" X 8" and scored at 1" and 2" on both sides.  This card, however, does not fold and will not fit into an envelope.

I am entering this in the following blog challenges:

The Paper Players - Spring
Artistic Inspirations - Anything Goes
Crafty Cardmakers - Floral Delight

3D Box Card

Congratulations to this week's Featured Stamper, Bronwyn (aka BronJ) at SCS.  We get to CASE (copy) a creation made by Bronwyn, but must change three things.   I loved this 3D card that I found in her gallery and had to try it.  It's pretty obvious that I changed everything except for the fold of the card.
I cut two pieces of paper 5 1/2" X 8" and scored at 1" and 2" on both.  It does fold to fit in an A2 envelope.

Color Pallette

Today is the inspiration challenge at SCS.  Our hostess gave us the Color Palette website to get inspired.  There are SO many color combinations but I managed to narrow it down to the colors in this picture.
I got the digital silhouette of the marsh image online, printed it twice and sponged the top layer with Stampin' Up Perfect Plum ink.

I also entered this at A Perfect Time To Craft and Always Happy Birthday.

Two-Step Stamping

For today's Free For All challenge at SCS....two-step stamping.  I used an older Stampin' Up! set called Heartfelt Thanks.  The flower was stamped with Crumb Cake ink and then outlined using a black Stazon ink.  It took me several times before I could actually get this lined up.

I am entering this for the following Anything Goes challenges at:
Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog
Crafting with Attitude
Little Miss Muffet Challenges
Through The Purple Haze Challenge

National Pigs Day

Apparently it's National Pigs Day today, according to the ladies at CCEE.  They want to see pigs on our cards.  This little guy is a digital image by Mo's Digital Pencil, and colored with chalk pencils.  This will also go the the challenges at Addicted to Stamps and More, Crafty Creations and Inspire. Create.

Sketch Challenge

I love this Chickadee image that I found online.  The Chickadee is the state bird for both Maine and Massachusetts.  I was born and grew up in Maine, and now live in Massachusetts for the past eighteen years.
I printed the image on craft paper and colored him with chalk pencils.  This card is for the sketch challenge at The Paper Players.
A lot of texture going on with my card, plus the neutral tones that I love working with.  Thanks for the sketch challenge, ladies. I will also enter this on the Pile It On challenge and The Corrosive Challenge.

Full Deck

Back in early February there was a Ways To Use It challenge on SCS called whatever suits you.  We had to use hearts, spades, clubs and/or diamonds on our creations.

I used my Brother ScanNCut to actually cut out the joker from a deck of cards. I also used it to cut out the shapes.  The sentiment was computer generated.

Inspiration Challenge

For today's challenge at SCS, we were to find something on the Antique Farm House website that inspired us.  I went with this Buffalo Check Table Runner.

My sunflower is a digital image by "priscillastyles".  I colored it with PrismaColor pencils, cut it out and heat embossed it a couple times.  It's popped up with mounting foam.

I am also entering this card at:

Shaker Card

The Ways to Use challenge at SCS today is to make a shaker card.  I used a thinlit die cut for the corner of my card and taped a little piece of acetate behind it.  I used mounting foam to make the dimension and used beads for the shaker.
I am also entering this in the following challenges:
Ching-Chou Kuik - All You Need Is Love
Crafty Girls Creations - Anything Goes
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper - Use Patterned Paper
Happy Little Stampers - Anything Goes With Die Cuts

Card Sketch

This digital boot image was free on Beccy's Challenges.  I colored the boots with chalk pencils, cut them out and popped them up with double sided sticky foam.  I used the optional sketch that Beccy provided.
The buttons aren't exactly where I wanted them, but since I was using a glue gun I had to work fast.

Transportation

The Teapot Party challenge at SCS is celebrating it's 500th challenge.  Today we're to use a means of transportation.  I got this image online and printed it on printable fabric.  It's a drawing by Sharon Branch.  I gave it just a hint of color using chalk pencils.
I have also entered it on the The Paper Girls Challenge Blog.  Their challenge is to create a card using black and white as the focal and a little pop of color.  And on 2 Sisters on the Blog, make a masculine card, and Create and Makes Challenge, anything goes.

because I said sew

The Paper Players are having a challenge to make a clean and simple creation with a sewing theme.  I printed this digital dress form and the sentiment onto printable fabric.  I sewed it to a layer of vanilla colored paper, attached the stick pin and two black buttons.

Clean & Simple

I made this CAS card for the challenge at the Clean and Simple on Sunday blog.  No layers, open space, not over embellished and must have a die cut.   I love working with the natural tones.

Inspiration Challenge

Today's challenge at SCS was to be inspired by the flowers at Schreiner's Iris Gardens.  I went with the Jeweled Crown because that is what I have in my garden. Colored this digital image with chalk pencils.

Southwest Theme

The Friday challenge at SCS is Southwest themed.  I used a peacock feather and went with a turquoise color scheme.  And since there is turquoise, I'm entering it in the Trough The Purple Haze challenge.....use turquoise.
Thanks for looking.

Sympathy

Thankfully I don't need a sympathy card right now, but they're good to have in my stash.

Color Challenge

This card was for a color challenge, which I seem to struggle with.  But sometimes there are combinations that come easy to me.  I received this bird cage die cut from a fellow stamper.

New Technique Challenge

This card was for a Try a New Technique challenge at SCS.  The challenge was to use an inked paper towel on our cards.  I torn the paper towel and ran an olive green ink pad over it.   It's a pretty cool look.

Heartfelt

This card is for two challenges.  The Ways to Use It challenge where we were to use a Kissing Technique.  And for the Tic Tac Toe challenge at CCEE Stampers where we had to use three elements in a row from the tic tac toe squares.  I used a sentiment, enamel dots and love theme.
