Midnight Madness Monthly Challenge, MMSC135

The Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge is back and has gone monthly. I'm thrilled to be a part of the new design team and, we want to welcome you to the very first Midnight Madness Monthly Challenge !

The challenges will pretty much remain the same, however you will have the whole month to submit your creations. You are welcome to submit up to four projects using the sketches provided as a guide. We may add some fun twists with themes too. The themes are merely for inspirations and not required to play our sketch challenges. We will continue to award the Gold Star and Remarkable awards each month as well as a prize each month. We hope you will have fun working with our sketches and will be inspired by the fabulous Midnight Madness Design Team's work. The new DT is a collaboration of both the Midnight Madness and "Priscillastyles" Design Teams. Have fun and be sure to mark your calendar for the first of every month and come join and check out our NEW Monthly Challenges. This is my creation inspired by Priscilla's sketch:

I'm so excited that my suggestion for this awesome wallpaper website was used for the inspiration challenge at Splitcoast Stampers. The Wallpaper Collective has so many beautiful sample wall coverings to be inspired by.

I used this picture for my manly inspiration. The digital image for my card is by Wink, Wink, Inc. The sketch used is from this week's Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.

Wow, what a wild weekend we had here in New England. Our first snow storm of the season that has created a lot of problems. It was heavy wet snow that the trees just couldn't handle. With down trees comes down electrical wires. I am fortunate that I didn't suffer any damage or loss.

It's time for another Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. Make it simple, make it fancy or somewhere in between.

For my card I used the digital image from "priscillastyles" Store called Christmas Ornaments. These images are so much fun to work with. The Stickles I used almost brings them to life.

If you are a member at Crafter's Digital Art Center you probably know about all the fun swaps. The stick pin and lace used on my card are from a couple of the swaps we did. Great fun!!!

Hello. Happy Columbus Day! It's a gorgeous day here in the northeast.

I got a chance to play along with the technique challenge at Splitcoast Stampers. Today's challenge is to layer the background stamps by stamping them one on top of the other. I used three Stampin' Up! background stamps on my card. First is the Script stamped in Old Olive ink, second is the Sanded stamped in Crumb Cake and last is Checkerboard stamped in Night of Navy. Great way to get those long forgotten background stamps out!

This is the card I made for the 4th round of the Progressive Challenges at Crafter's Digital Art Center. The image from Designed2Delight is free for all members that have signed up for the challenges but only available for two weeks, while the challenge last.

The inspiration for this card is from the featured stamper challenge at Splitcoast Stampers. This week's featured stamper is Dianne "aka" eured99 and I picked this card of hers to case. I changed the papers, image and ribbon.

There is a new progressive challenge at Crafter's Digital Art Center.

This sweet digital image called Olly in the Tub is by Anne Fenton. It is one on the images being offered for the challenge. The idea for the dresser stair step card came from Deneen Treble. The little dress digital image is from A Day for Daisies and the little towel image is from Mo's Digital Pencil.

This is the inside of my card. The digital sock monkey image is called Sherbert and is by Odds & Soxlets and the sweet puppy image is from Stampin Dragon Designs.

For my card today I used the digital Victorian Hat image from "priscillastyles". The whole image was paper pieced. I added stickles to the flower t give it some shine.

Happy Tuesday. There's another great Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge going on today. For my card I used the brand new Lion digital image by "priscillastyles", which is now available at her store.

The lion image was colored and then cut out. And of course...heat embossed with clear embossing powder. That's what I do:>)) My papers are so much prettier in real life. Lots of sparkle that doesn't really show in this photo.

Hello! Another great sketch has been posted today on the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.

The image I used to create my card is from the "priscillastyles" Sunflower digital set. It is one of a set of three and is available at "priscillastyles" Store. It is one of my favorite digital images.

I colored this image with Copics, cut it out and heat embossed it. I know...shocking!!! I heat emboss everything. I just love the look:>)) Thanks so much for taking a peek!!

CDAC Challenges

Every once in a while I get to play along with the challenges at Crafter's Digital Art Center. "priscillastyles" is the host of the color challenge this round. Her color choices are purple and green, and she has offered this free digital image.

This grape image is great to work with. After coloring it I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I stamped the Script rubber stamp from Stampin' Up! with VersaMark and heat embossed that as well. I then sponged around the image with yellow and brown ink pads. The flowers are from Recollections called Boutique Fleur.

For my Second card I used a digital image offered in the Freebie Digi Challenge from Dowdy Doodles. This fun image is also available free for a short time at CDAC.

This was also my submission for the Featured Stamper challenge at Splitcoast.

For my card, I used this great wash bowl and water pitcher digital image from "priscillastyles" Store. I love this image, and it brings back memories for me. I remember the cracked porcelain set that my mom had, and it looked very much like this image. So, I have used the cracked glass technique to give it that same effect.

Today is Saturday and that means a new challenge at Shannon's Sentiments. Oh, and I get to host.
The challenge I picked for everyone today is to add a handmade flower to your creation. It can be made of paper or material or anything you like. My flower was made with material.

I had this fun paper and wanted to make a fun card with it. I used two digital images and a sentiment from Shannon's Sentiments Peace, Love and Stamping Set. The same material was used for the ribbon and bow.

I created this card using Kallista Kelly's free digital image. Kallista won the amateur artist contest at Crafter's Digital Art Center.

Is this a great rabbit image?!! Probably intended for Easter, but works well for a Mother's Day card or any holiday. The sketch used for my card is from Card Positioning Systems (CPS). And this great sentiment is from Shannon's Sentiments.

A Day With My Godson

OMGosh....a day with my five year old Godson, Bryan. He's such a fun kid, full of personality. He spent the morning fishing with his grandfather, Gido, who is my spousal equivalent. Lunch at McDonald's then off to the movies....HOP.
A must see!!! This was the cutest movie. We all loved it. The day ended with dinner at a restaurant that is known for awesome steamers.

He ate a WHOLE bucket of clams by himself. No sharing. He's too cute.

I took this picture with my cell, which normally isn't great, but I really love the "Norman Rockwell" look of this one.

Earth Day Blog Hop

Today is Earth Day and Shannon's Sentiments is having a blog hop.

Our only challenge for the hop.....to use recycled products on our cards. It's so tempting to cut into that fresh sheet of cardstock for a base, or that new designer paper you just picked up the day before from your favorite local stamping store but, leftovers only!!

Everything on my card is leftover scraps or from a card made that didn't turn out the way I had imagined. I have even used a piece of cardboard from a box. The digital image and sentiment are from Shannon's Sentiments.

Can you believe it?! The 100th Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.

Make is fancy, CAS or somewhere in between. It's a great sketch, and I hope you get to play along with the challenge.

For my card I used the Flying Bird digital image from "priscillastyles" Store. It's one from a set of six and is available at her store. I added a little color to the bird and then cut it out. It is popped up on a twice embossed panel. I think it makes a great wedding card.

Happy Tuesday! It's time for another Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.

Here is my card for this week's sketch challenge, using the new Potting Flowers digital image from "priscillastyles" Store.
This image was a lot of fun to color. I just happened to have patterned paper that resembles denim so it was perfect to paper piece the jeans.

I've been on a stick pin obsession lately. Probably has a lot to do with a stick pin swap that was held at Crafter's Digital Art Center. I'm so glad I got in on that swap. Now I'm just waiting to receive all the beautiful pins that have been created by others. And I understand they are gorgeous. If you're not a member at CDAC you're missing out on a lot of fun!!!

Happy Friday!!! I hope everyone survived the St. Patrick's Day festivities. It's a big deal here in the Boston area, complete with parades.

This is my card for the challenge at Shannon's Sentiments. When I first saw this digital candle image from Shannon's Sentiments, I fell in love with it. It can be used for so many different occasions. It is from a set called Peace, Love and Stamping. Is that a great name?! The set includes a variety of sentiments, one of which I used on this card. Hello Everyone. It's time again for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. Make it fancy, clean and simple or somewhere in between. I made two cards for this challenge. The images I used on both of my cards are brand new from "priscillastyles" Store.

The first is a sweet bunny image, just in time for Easter. I colored this image with Prismacolor Pencils. I'm trying to teach myself how to color with these pencils and this is the perfect image.

The second is a brand new image called Sweet Pea Flowers. No matter what color you pick, this image is so much fun to color.

Here is my card for this week's Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. How cute is this digital image from "priscillastyles" Store?! It's called Time Out.

My card image was cut out, and the clothing was paper pieced. I then heat embossed the image with clear embossing powder. The string with shiny fibers I used on the corners is actually material used in tying fishing flies. My significant other ties his own flies and has a lot of cool things that can be used in card making. Shhhh, no telling:>))

"Sock It To Me Drink" Class

How cute is this?! There is a class at Crafter's Digital Art Center to learn how to make these.

It's called "Sock It To Me Drink" class. This is actually a pair of fuzzy socks and a piece of brown felt. It's a great gift idea! I used the "Be Mine Kitty" digital image from "priscillastyles" Store.

I totally enjoyed my time being a part of the Stampin' Goddesses at Stampin' Royalty! Such a group of very talented ladies!! Can't wait to see who the next Goddess will be:>))

When my sister became a grandmother for the first time, I started a scrapbook for her. I would send her a new page for all the different occasions throughout the year. Well, that was three years ago and now she has a second grand baby, and this time it's a girl.

The challenge at Stampin' Royalty came at a perfect time. A scrapbook challenge.

This page is only 8" X 8", and the first page for the second scrapbook. I'm looking forward to making more "girlie" pages!

I used the ornament punch from Stampin' Up! as my vase. The stamped image is from the set called Watercolor Trio, and the cardstock is Concord Crush and Crumb Cake. I did the stitching by hand, and added a little butterfly. Hope you can play along!

And now onto my card for this challenge.

This beautiful digital holly image that I have used on my card is from DigiDrawn. If you are a member of CDAC and also a member of the DigiDrawn group then you can get this image free:>))

I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils, and then cut it out. It was heat embossed twice using clear embossing powder. I wish this picture would capture how pretty the image really is.

The cardstock is from Paper Temptress. This is the prettiest paper I've worked with. It embosses so beautifully.

Here is a card that I made using a digital image from "priscillastyles" Store called Vase with Flowers. This is a great image to work with! It's really hard to see in this photo, but I put crystal effects on the vase to give it a shine. I have also cut out a few of the flowers and popped them with dimensions. I am thrilled and excited to now be a part of the Stampin' Royalty Design Team. It's truly an honor to be part of such a talented group of ladies.

Here is the card that I made using this great sketch.

I used the Elements of Style stamp set from Stampin' Up! that I stamped directly onto the designer paper. The Hummingbird image was cut out and cleared embossed. I just love this color combination of Not Quite Navy and Sahara Sand.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. Mine has been quiet so I've put my time to good use:))

I seem to be in Christmas mode, which is probably a good thing. Not only do I make my own Christmas cards, I also make cards for my sister to sent out.

"priscillastyles" Butterfly Set

I can't seem to get enough of this Butterfly set (of three) from "priscillastyles" Store.Normally, my style is not "girly" but this is exactly what I need for an anniversary card. My plan is to decorate a bottle of wine to match my card. That's going to take more planning, but I'll be sure to post it when it happens.

This butterfly is colored with Prismacolor pencils. This is totally new to me. They were half price at Michael's so I bought a set of 48. I actually had the container of 120 pencils in my cart, toured the store and wondered what will I do with 120 pencils. I'm sure one day that I'll wish I had those 72 extra pencils.

I used the sketch from The Sweetest Thing but didn't finish it on time to post it. Oh well, I'm happy to get to use it. :)

I have used an image from Priscilla's Sunflower set which comes in a set of three. This card was fun to create using the cracked glass technique. I'm quite happy with the results! I used Copic markers for coloring. My layout is from the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.

I am so honored to be chosen this week's guest designer at Stampin' Royalty. This week is a color challenge. I usually struggle with the color thing but I really like the combination these ladies picked.

I love these new Christmas stamps from Stampin' Up! The tree and ornaments are from the Holiday Happiness set. The stockings, cut out and popped with dimensionals, are from the Gifted set.

My sister became a grandmother again, and she loves the beach. When I saw this beauty made from punches I immediately knew I had to make one for her.

This was my first attempt at making the fork bow. I need more practice:)

I love sunflowers and I was thrilled that Priscilla of Priscillastyles offered this free digital image on her color challenge at Crafter's Digital Art Center.The colors are green, yellow and cream. Perfect for a sunflower card:)

I went with this card of hers and changed the colors and sentiment. I used Stampin' Up! designer paper instead of scoring the top panel. The stamped saying is from Inkadinkado.
